Zeroth:
        Use a high-quality virus scanner, keep its monitoring tool running all
the time, and update weekly.
First:
        Don't open the file!
Second:
        Stop using MS mail products (or, do what I did, and leave their entire
OS family behind)
Third:
        Set up Explorer to show file extensions (by default, it hides them)
