I have an excellent book at home on rebuilding and blueprinting engines.
There is a nice detailed description on calculating and actually measuring
the clearance. If you like, let me know and I'll scan in the applicable

How does one calculate that? I'm going with the Crane 2030 cam, Hughes
springs and retainers, Kammer and Kammer 1.7 RR's. What role does milling
the heads play in figguring that out as well?
