Gary,
If you go to Dynomax's website, you can listen to the sound differences
between the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler and the Dynomax Ultra Flow muffler.
The Ultra Flow will definately be louder than the Super Turbo, alot louder.

When I finally replaced my muffler this summer, I too did not want a loud
obnoxious screaming muffler. I researched this decision for months. You can
type in Flowmaster wav/sounds, Dynomax wav/sounds, Gibson wav/sounds, etc at
any search engine to find various recording of muffler sounds.
This site deals with muffler noise/sound, and is kind of interesting:

I ended up buying a Flowmaster 3chamber 50 Series Delta Flow muffler, and
love it. In my opinion, the Flowmaster mufflers sound the best on a V6
engine. I was not at all impressed with sound of Gibson mufflers(even on a
V8 I didnt like it), and heard too many horror stories about Dynomax
mufflers rotting out and falling apart within a year. I also wanted a
'maintenace free' muffler. By this I mean I did not want a muffler which was
packed with anything, like fiberglass. Any sound deadening material put in
mufflers will eventualling break down and could possibly clog up the
exhaust. So I wanted a 'maintenance free' muffler, which just used baffles
or chambers for sound. This mens nothing other than welded metal would be
inside the muffler. I am very happy with my choice of muffler. I took it
into a local muffler shop, paid them $30 to torch out my old muffler and
weld in the new Flowmaster. Hoe this helps.
