Hey,
1.) Deisels are cool, they sound cool and they can really haul.
2.) My '99 did the same thing, until the dealer said the intake gaskets for
defective and replaced them along with the therm., all its gaskets, oil and
filter in case any debris got into to motor. My Dak still idles lower at stop
lights, around 40 somtimes alittle more depending on weather, but no more deisel
sound. No more bog off the line. Check into it, though yours may be out of the
applicable warrenty, you will have to have check with your dealer.
