The #19s will be fine for what you have now. I ran almost the exact same
setup for quite a while on the stock injectors and FMS are just a bit
larger.
I didn't go to #24s until I did a complete rebuild with lots of
head/intake/TB work, then I needed the 24s and they work great. You'll be
blowin' smoke if you put 24s in what you have now.
Here's what I needed 24s for:
Only thing original in 5.2 is the block iron. Custom pistons,
polished/matched rods w/ARPs, highly ported heads, 3 angle VJ, all new
bearings, comp cam (2020), Crowler 1.7s, extrude hone intake, giant custom
throttle body, custom cold/ram air intake, complete Jacobs ign, 24 lb
injectors, tri Ys, 3" all the way back, underdrive pulleys, 2200 rpm
converter, shift kit, many other small parts, MANY HOURS OF WORK.
Next, electric fan, 3.55s

Subject: DML: 24# or 19# injectors
Ok, 93 Dakota V8, MP Computer, MP Camshaft,
Thorley Headers, Gibson 3" exhaust, Jacobs
Ignition, K&N, do I go with the FMS 24 or 19
injectors, I want the most performance, but also
tow with the truck. Are any mods necessary to run
the 24#? Surely someone has or has at least tried
this with a 318 truck. Will I have problems with
MP Computer and 24#'s?
Thanks in advance
Tom
