Wow, your local lube place is charging you an arm and leg. Valvoline (Don't
work there anymore, They are gonna get sued) where I worked at only charged
79.99 and I'd usually give people 10 dollar off coupons who did the service,
so it came out to 69.99 plus tax.

It basically just hooks up into your cooler lines and it gets tranny fluid
pressure from what your tranny pumps out and a piston (you can see it)
pushes new fluid into the tranny lines back into the transmission

As far as it being better? I don't know. I had to say I ran it through my
tranny a "couple" of times during my course working there. After I did the
shift kit, I put a screen filter in instead of the paper filter... Some
said it is used in newer cars. Oh well, no tranny troubles, yet!
