Yes.

My buddies (sold now) '98 Sport 5.2L with 3.55's and mine with 4.10's. I took
him out of the hole every single time with my V6. ;)

If you really want to run some decent "All Around" gears, the 3.90:1 works very
well for street/strip and with minimal (if any) loss in mileage.
