William what year truck do you have? I had a 93 untll a month ago and I
totalled it in a head on with a chebbie (the guy fell asleep at the wheel).
They never told me how much damage actaully was done they just gave me a
check which I was more than happy to take. What state do you live in? Here
in NY its no fault which is pretty good since the guy who hit me had no
insurance, my company took care of the cost to tal my truck and then they'll
deal with him. I dont have to get involved at all. Luckily no one was hurt
at all which is suprising since we were both going 50mpg and hit head on. I
dealt with the cops and everything very well in my situation since I knew
them since I'm a fireman and it was completely the other guys fault and
there were witnesses who stated that. Just let your insurance company deal
with the other guy you shouldn't have to get involved at all.
