TIRE CHOICES

I have the 15x8 gen III wheels with 255-65-15 Badyear LS's.

These tires are lame for how I drive, which is sideways.....

I've scrubbed the writing off the sidewall these lean so hard!!!

I'm going to get tires. Now, if I was smart I'd go get R/T rims. But I'm
not smart. And my wife would kill me. Plus, if I spend $500 on the R/T
wheels, it opens up a whole lot better tires at a whole lot higher price.
If I going to get cheap tires I might as well stay with the 15's. So that
$500 becomes $800-900 additional pretty quick....

SO.... I'm staying with the stock 15's....Probably....

Choice!

BFG Radial T/A in a 295-50-15
vs.
Pirelli Scorpian Zero's in a 255-60-15

The Pirelli sounds like an awesome tire. MUCH better I would imagine than
a Radial T/A. However it is TOO damn SMALL!!! If they made a 275-60-15
I'd be there like NOW!!!

The Pirelli is a better tire but it gives up a taller sidewall which is a
critical problem to my application since I well...DRIVE SIDEWAYS ALOT!!!!

The Pirelli also gives up 1.5" to the Radial T/A. So the BFG (besides
being $85 a piece!) has a stronger sidewall, and is 1.5" wider. Even if
the Pirelli was a WHOLE lot better compound and construction, I'm still
betting I can run faster lap times with BFG's. And they are cheaper which
isn't a big deal and like they say....Wider is Better....I fit that
description...

The Pirelli's look hot! But I think a 295 will look hotter... My main
concern is grip and sidewall rollover, but a mean look out of a lowly SLT+
is okay too.

My rational side says Pirelli in the stock width 255, my emotions say GO
BIG!!!
