I owned a 91 Syclone and it would barely break 13s. It went through 4 engines
in only 59k miles and any attempts to make any more power were met with cracked
pistons, burnt pistons and bend rods. Those engines needed a lot of internal
mods to even stand up to factory boost. Lucy for me I had bought the extended
warranty because I kept all the repair tickets and the repairs added up to over
38,000.00. I wonder if the Ferds will break down if soupped up to much also.
The supercharged V6 Thunderbirds did not do too well and that was a cast iron
motor not aluminum like the 5.4.
