backpressure produces low-end torque. When I had 3" exhaust on my 88 V6, it
ran 18.1 in the 1/4 mile. Changed to 2.5" exhaust and ran 17.6 and picked up
5mph. You want some backpressure unless you're runnin' a turbo....
