It could just be your catalytic converter....when the exhaust system is
cold, crawl underneath, take your fist and pound on the CC to see if you
hear the same rattling. I had to replace mine after 4 years.

When revving the motor you can hear a rattling sound when the motor almost
reaches idle. The sound is coming from the front part of the tranny. Could
it be the torque converter? If it is, does the service light come on?
