As a fellow Harris I agree. If you don't like the subject just hit the
delete key. I myself do enjoy the off Dak topics. I also enjoy hearing other
people's point of view even if it is opposite of my view. Often on this list
we hear of second amendment rights. Lets not forget the first amendment.
The New President thread will die when Gore, who I wanted to win because I
don't like Bush (my feeling of who was the lesser of two evils), does the
statesman like thing and concedes the race to Bush (after the final Florida
count is in which I'm sure Bush will win). Of course the word statesman my
not be in Gore's vocabulary.

Michael, first of all that was a rude post. Secondly, there are 850+ members
of the DML. I'm on here with a whole lot of people whose opinions I respect
and whose insights I appreciate. I do not complain about excessive mail,
non-DML subjects, or Autolite 3923 posts. Frankly, I like to read the
off-topic threads that pop up to get insight into the actual people who are
involved in the DML community. If it's interesting and/or important I'll
occasionally respond.
I know this neat trick... any post with a subject heading I'm not interested
in, I >delete<. Apparently you're not interested in this thread about the
election. Hey, it's called "New President." Easy to identify and skip.
I like the informality of this list and the people involved. I'd rather wade
through or skip some off-topic mail than be on an antiseptic, impersonal,
heavily-moderated list.
