Mike,
I dont know what to tell a man. I recently changed the dist cap, dist rotor,
spark plugs, and fuel filter. I also just cleaned the TB and always use some
kind of fuel injector/fuel system cleaner. I am also running synthetics in
the tcase, front diff and rear diff. Within the past month or two, my
mileage has also dropped considerably. I would say on the average I now get
an easy 30-40 miles less per tank. Highway wise, I barely get 15mpg, where
before I could clear 18. City mileage has dropped a ton, and I wont even
post those numbers. My truck does run awesome is has all the power in the
work, just the mileage sucks. I have the following mods, which may or maynot
help out with mpg:
MSD 6-Offroad Ignition, MSD RFI Noise Filter, MSD Universal Wiring
Harness, MSD 8.5MM SuperConductors, Accel Super Coil, Borg Warner
Select Brass Cap/Rotor, Autolite Copper Plugs(.050), QuickD Throttle Body,
Ford Motorsport #19lb/hr Matched Injectors, 'PoBoy' Homebrew Cold Air
Intake Kit Using GenIII Dak Air Hat, K&N #RE-0920 Cone Filter(900+ CFM),
K&N Breather Filter(PN#62-1520; All Metal), Flowmaster 3Chamber Delta-Flow
Muffler

The oxygen was replaced at 100,000 miles with another Mopar sensor. I have
thought of this being the culprit, just not sure since a faulty 02 sensor
wont necessarily throw out a fault code. I have also thought my converter
may need replacing. The stock converter went out at 75,000 miles and only
came with a 50,000 mile warranty. Both parts arent cheaper either, the o2
being the cheaper of the two depending on if I want to buy a dealer part of
go through a part store. Good luck with your problem and let me know if you
figure yours out!
