Steve, The Co-pilot records 30 seconds each time you press the button. It
goes back in time 15 sec. and records the following 15 sec after pressing the
button. It can hold 3 recordings, after that it erases the first one and
over writes with the 4th, 5th so on. It does work very well, I had one on my
truck for a few weeks, and it help diagnose a very difficult problem. The
technician even took me in the shop and let me review with him the info I
recorded!! If you experienced the problem, and pressed the button, they'll
more than likely solve it!! good luck!
