I`m feeling really sad for Chrysler(long)

This is such a shame. The reason that this is all happening is because
Chrysler`s management was afraid they could not survive a new century
without "merging" with somebody. It`s apparent the boldness and
confidence of the design and development team did not rub off onto the
beancounters.I can only hope and pray that some American (even Lee
Iacocca) will buy Chrysler back.It makes me sick to think that Dodge is
no more an American company than Toyota is,at this point.Since Schrempp
doesn`t like any Dodges, maybe he can sell that division back to us! I
tell you folks,we hear so much about how great the economy is.Well,we
are rapidly getting to the place where we no longer manufacture
anything, except maybe hamburgers. There are no longer ANY American
builders of consumer electronics; the American brand names have all been
bought by China and other countries. So your new Sylvania VCR is a
Funai,in other words. Here`s the scary part: Every VCR or stereo
mini-system you buy today makes that 200-million man Communist army over
there just a little bit stronger, because it certainly does not finance
the Chinese branch of the United Way.Before you buy anything, please turn
it around, and see where it was made.Brand names mean NOTHING
anymore.............I`m sorry. Not too upbeat right now.I think about
Chrysler, and it just sets me off about all the other great companies
that we have lost. :>( Next post will be so happy, though,it`ll take
plastic surgery to remove all our ***dang smiles! I promise. Your
crestfallen friend and co-Dak-patriot,Steve P.
