I may be wrong, but for 4.7's I think the manual specifies 5w-30 exclusively
for everything short of desert ambient conditions. Might have something to
do with very tight piston clearances.

But my dealers always recommend 10W30 oil in my truck 12 months of the year.
Will changing different weights of oil affect anything?
