Sounds scary to me. I dont know what class of tractors you are talking
about but my cousins run in the 7200lbs modified class. Twin hemis with
14-71 mooneyham blowers. I cant remember the exact displacement they ran
last season (under 500ci) but according to them they ran on average around
50 lbs of boost per motor. I have never heard of welding the heads on the
block. That would make it rather difficult to rebuild the motor which is
done every 9 or 10 runs down the track.
