Sounds like a very good plan, can't forget the 3923 though ;-)

Have you considered the core exchange with Hughes?

I believe the cam Rich W has, passed emissions in his truck.
As he said it will work best W/ stock or modded stock manifold.

With a 360, and a 114 lobe separation you may be able to use
a little more duration, to take advantage of the MPI.

They are for power brakes and accessories.

Yes, the problem is with the map sensor. That's why I had mentioned
Bernd's little black box, or a map adjuster. To trick the computer
into seeing adequate vacuum at idle

Well at least you will be better off than running the stock computer,
from what I understand the MP computers allow wider parameters.
I can only guess that it would include the map circuit at idle.
