Ok, decision time, need some input

Ok, I went out today cruisin' around and went down some back roads. I ran
into a deal that I am really considering. I have found two Gen-I Dakotas for
sale. The same person owns them both. One is an 87 Dakota regular cab V-6.
It is in fair shape. It had a toolbox mounted on it and the inside of the
bed is scratched up with surface rust all over it. The paint is in good
shape on other parts of the truck, with the interior being in good shape for
the years on it. It is also an auto with the bench seat. The other one is
what is really making me think. It is an 89 Dakota Shelby V-8!!! It is in
excellent condition! The paint is nice, there has never been a toolbox on it
and the bed has a bedliner in, but is still scratched underneath. It has
been used to tow something that was way to heavy, as the bumper has been
bowed from it, but that can be fixed. Neither truck will crank and run, but
they will turn over. The oil doesn't smell, but it could have just been
changed. The trans fluid looks good, but it too could have been just
changed. Any ideas on these? Oh yeah, the guy only wants $750 for both!!!
I know the Shelby is worth at least that, but I am trying to decide if I want
to finish out the 96 and let these two slide, or if I want to buy these two
and postpone the finishing of the 96. Ack!!! I hate these decisions!!!
Help!!!
