Sorry for your friend's loss and I hope their family sorts stuff out.
I'm pretty lucky because my parents have already put away for our (3 sisters
and mine) life insurances. I think it is about 116 bucks a month for all 4
of us, gaurantees us 100k life insurance FOREVER after we stay with them for
10 years. (one more year and life insurance is taken care of for life)
I think it's a great plan and I will also have funds almost like a mutual
fund type of ordeal to withdraw from after retirement if I need it. Don't
know the exact details, but if you guys have kids or something, I think it's
a great plan to start them out young with. Almost like a college fund in a
way...
