Changed plugs on my 4.7

Hey guys,

Changed the stock plugs on my 4.7L to Bosch +4 platinums. Damn those things
are expensive. After shewing away a few check engine lights the truck runs
a little smoother. I can feel a definite smoothness in acceleration.

Here's a question. On two of the bolts that hold down the coil unit thing
is a bracket with some sort of sensor connection on it that is not connected
to anything. Any one know what these are for?

Another question, I remember plug colors meant stuff, but I can't remember
what. The Champion plugs were all white with a black dusting over about 1/2
the electrode area. Does that mean anything good or bad?

And by the way, it must have been the gorilla's day off. The original plugs
were barely hand tight.
