BIG CHANNELLOCK PLIERS. Does the trick every time. I wouldn't worry too much
about crushing it, it's just going in the trash anyway. If push comes to
shove, cut it off and use a square key to wrench out the whole adapter that
screws into the block.

not sure Ron, I've never seen the K&N oil filter... The Fram material gets
brittle and flaky at high temps... and the oil doesn't help getting a grip
on em either :)
