You know, for some people higher up on the economical ladder, all that
pulling apart and rebuilding would be just fine... everything has to be just
perfect all the time, and if its not, its just not good enough anymore.
But there are people who cant afford all that sort of thing, us military
folk dont get paid all that much, and cant be real particular about things
being just right ALL the time....
BUT LISTEN TO WHAT I AM SAYING.... my truck with 93K on it uses/leaks about
3/4 a qt total at the end of every 3K... the plugs are always nice and
clean, my vacuum readings are just fine, and so is the oil pressure (I put a
gauge on it) and havent lost a bit of performance since the day I bought it.
So why would I want to go pulling the heads, dropping the front diff and oil
pan, or whatever I had to do to fix this MINOR little inconvenience of 5 min
to add $1 of oil to my engine??????????

I AM ALSO NOT SAYING that this isnt a problem that isnt going to get
worse... of course it is.... thats what these things do.... but until I can
feel a difference in performance or the pig starts to billow smoke I aint
going to mess with something that aint messing with me, and I dont see that
happening for a very long time....

TJ
