Subject: Here it is, Fog light Re-Wire Procedure

the responce was as i expected, alot of people want to do this........so i
took some photos and here are the directions.

it could not be any simpler, and the best part is NO cutting and it uses the
factory switches!!! also i can be changed back for state inspections for
states like PA that dont allow this kind of thing!!

download the picture and follow these instructions.

step 1:

Open your hood and remove the PDC (power distibution center) cover where all
your fuses and relays are located (its right behind the battery on the 4.7L
V8). locate the Fog Light Relay using the chart on the inside of the cover.
the Fog Light Relay is the one i'm pointing to in Pic #1.

Step 2:

Remove the relay as shown in Pic #2, it simply pulls out. Note the 2 larger
contact prongs on the relay parallel to eachother, these are the two contacts
circuts you need to complete with a piece of fusable link. wire will work,
however, I prefer fusable link because if you experience a short or power
surge, the link will blow out like a fuse, preventing any serious electrical
burnouts.

Step #3:

here in Pic #3 you see the piece of fusable link i have prepaired with thoes
electrical contacts. you can find sizes in the hardware store that are a
perfect match for the circut holes.

Step #4:

Complete the circut by plugging the fusable link into the 2 larger holes that
are parallel to eachother on the circut board as shown in Pic #4.

Step #5:

Replace the PDC cover as shown in Pic #5 and WHALLA!!! YOUR DONE! fire
that puppy up and you have Fog lights on All the Time!!! as seen in Pic #6

let me know how it goes and if you are happy with this modification. I spent
several hours with my face in repair manual at the dealership where i work
trying to figure out the wiring diagrams and developing this modifiction. i
love to hear some feedback!! :-)
