Not sure if this helps anymore, but I found two products, which may or may
not help.

The two products are towards the lower 1/4 of the page.

"Mixture Enhancement Selector
Our totally new Mixture Enhancement Selector will allow you to custom tailor
your fuel curve from your dashboard. A three position switch gives you the
options of Economy, Performance or Stock. Not a chip, but a unique
modification designed to communicate with your existing stock or aftermarket
chip. An easy installation with no permanent modifications, allows an
Economy setting with a 1-2 MPG. gain or a Power setting which enhances fuel
parameters for performance. Stock setting does not affect the computer at
all. $89.95 Part # 635-410"

"Map Adjuster:"

"Turbo City Rock-ItT Map Adjuster : Eliminates surging and bucking of stock
program on late model EFI Jeeps. Adjustable to allow for additional power
gaining modifications. Matches fuel curve to airflow changes such as
Hi-Flow TBI, Ported Heads, Headers, Etc...Easy Installation; Include Module

Installation of this Module requires modification to the Factory wiring.
Care must be used in installation to prevent damage to the Jeep's electrical
system. If you have any question about installation of this accessory, call
a Turbo City tech rep before continuing."

It was worth a shot. Maybe it can be modified somehow to be used on Dakotas?
Might be worth a phonecall or email? Good Luck!
