OOPS
I meant to say going to 3.92. 4.10 would be too much...I figure that the
3.92s would keep me under around 2.7k in OD at freeway cruising speeds.
(with the 3.55s I'm at about 2k even)

Unitrax did mine. They're in Anaheim. I went from 3.55 to 3.92. I already
have the factory LSD so I didn't have to add that. Going to 4.10's pretty
radical. Personal choice but that's alot of top end you're giving up.

Subject: DML: one-legged giddy-up club
Hi everybody,
I'm in the one-legged giddy-up club as I didn't get the factory limited slip
in my Dak.
I have the standard open dif' with 3.55 gears. I have been doing a lot of
snow driving this year (I just learned how to snow board and I'm hooked,
though the way that I do it they should call it a$$ boarding).
Needless to say, I am now wishing for the additional traction at the rear
end that a limited slip would provide. I also figure that as long as I am in
the dif' I might as well go to 4.10 as well. So the question is, am I better
off upgrading to the factory limited slip or should I go with an
aftermarket? If factory then how dangerous would it be for me to try to
junkyard scavenge the factory parts off of a dead Dak? If aftermarket then
who is recommended?
Thanks in advance,
Mike Hamilton

P.S. How many DML people do we have in the San Diego area?
