I got them at Wal-Mart.
They are more oval than circular, and they have a threaded screw with a nut
on one end. I've seen these used before by mountain climbers. You
basically undo the screw, it backs out enough to create an opening to put a
loop through, or you can keep it closed and attach the bungee hooks to them.
I don't have one inside for the measurements, but the one I got was about 1"
wide by 2.5" long. It was just enough to move around the post that was
inside the front holes. Any bigger, and I don't think that it would fit
down in there.
