Re: RE: RE: Autolite 3923's (I'm confused)

I think what Aaron is trying to figure out is what is the best Autolite
plug for his truck. I believe his goal is to improve performance. Obviously
Autolite 3923's, which the list says work great in the V6's and V8's are
not the correct plug for the 4 banger.

If I understand posting on list correctly, the 3923 is a colder plug than
the stock plug or what is called out for by Autolite (sorry don't have the
stock number). With that logic in mind (and please fell free to correct me)
the thing to do is find the Autolite plug for the 2.5L engine and than find
the next colder plug in that size range and put it in the truck.

Now Aaron, we are in a gray area here. Most of the information on the list
has to do with the bigger engines. What we have to do is apply the
knowledge from this list to our little engines. That being said, try to get
the colder Autolite plug and see what kind of results you get (I will be
interested to know for when I replace my plugs). This
way we can start building the knowledge base for the four cylinder and
someday our little anemic engines will run with the V8's.... well maybe
not, but at least we can give the rest of the 4 bangers out there a run for
there money.
