I have the factory 15X8 double-spoked and had them chromed from the gitgo.
I have had no problems with them whatsoever. The only thing the wheel shop
told me was to wash them good as least once a week because brake dust has a
detrimental effect on chrome. So I keep them clean and use polish on them
not more than once every couple months. That's another thing the shop told
me. Too much polish is also not good for them. If you keep them clean,
polish is not necessary.

Subject: DML: Rims and strength

I'm starting to seriously look for rims for my truck. I think I'm going to
go 17x8 and was wondering... How strong and durable are aftermarket rims
compared to factory. Are different types (one piece alum, cast, two-piece)
stronger than others. Do chrome rims have plating problems over time or
scratch easily?

thanks
