You should set your gap at .005 over factory specs and see how that does.
Some people set theirs to .010 over factory specs. I don't know whether the
Jacobs plug wires are considered solid core wires or not. Jacobs specifies
them as metal core wires. Here's what MSD has to say about solid core
wires: [Note: Solid Core spark plug wires cannot be used with an MSD
Ignition.] That's part of the installation instructions for the 6A.
