Well, I've changed my subject line from 'NV3500' whine to 'drivetrain' and for
good reason. Apparently the lowspeed cavitation and highspeed whine is the
throwout bearing, but it's not making noises when the pedal's pushed like I'd
expect. It's making only making noise when unloaded and the parts are on
national backorder. The dealer tells me that he won't even know if the parts
are available for another 48 hours or so and gave me the truck back. Sure
she's not feeling well, but it beats the hell out of the Monte Carlo!
