Before you run up a large repair bill check the serpentine belt. When the
belt starts to go it will give some squeaking noises which sound like a bad
pulley. The noise is usually greatest in the morning when the vehicle is
cold but you will probably hear it off and on throughout the day.
I would price a new belt before a less than honorable mechanic tries to sell
you a "New" waterpump.
