Actually, to reset the PCM, all you have to do is:

(1) Disconnect the NEG terminal on the battery
(2) Turn the key to the START position and hold for 15-20 seconds
(3) Turn key OFF and reconnect the battery. (Takes about 50 miles for a
decent "quick learn" and about 200 miles for a long-term learn.)

It would hurt, but the PCM's do learn on the fly as well.
