I have a 99 V6 with the exhaust turned down under the bed. I wanted it
turned down directly after the muffler, but the guy at the exhaust shop
misunderstood me and did it just before the rear axle. It sounds really
good, and did a lot for reducing the back pressure. I have a flowmaster 2
chamber muffler on it also. I love the way it sounds. One guy at a gas
station said he liked the way my truck sounded, and was impressed when I
told him it was a V6. I encourage the idea! It also makes the truck look a
little better since you don't see the tailpipe sticking out.
