Hemipower, you were right. Took me about 3 hours this time!! However, I
have not found anything that looks wrong. I inspected the pivot ball on the
clutch fork, the fork itself, and the actuator rod out of the slave
cylinder. Hydraulic system seems to be okay, but how the hell do you bleed
this thing? No fittings.
I was getting an occasional noise [whirring] and "jerky" clutch action right
before it quit working. I am taking the rebuilt pressure plate back
tomorrow so the shop can inspect it and see if anything is wrong. The only
other idea I have is to shim the pivot ball to get the fork closer to the
flywheel. The nylon tip on the rod out of the slave cylinder is ever so
slightly worn, maybe 1/32 of an inch.
Anybody got any ideas?
