You didn't mention your oxygen sensor?
I got that bad of milage right before my cat went bad. I guess it plugged
up enough to cause the bad milage and then broke apart and started
rattling. Maybe yours is plugged, but not rattling. A 3" cat can be had
for <$100 so you might want to incorporate it into your header install just
to be sure.
