You appear to need a little lesson in the facts of life (a little
sensitivity training wouldn't hurt).
Fact: Most women make less than a man doing the same job yet their cost of
living is the same as a man.
Fact: Women have a harder time making ends meet after a separation because
of the above fact while men for the most part maintain the same lifestyle.
You also don't know the whole situation. The family, before the husband
left, could have needed both incomes to make their financial commitments.
Now the mother could be left holding the bag.
Finally, if you disagree with someone's statement, disagree on the facts,
argue what you think is wrong with the person's statement. Don't make it a
personal attack.
