Afternoon all,

Wanted to say thanx to those who replied to my question list a little
over a week ago. It's good to see folks are still willing to (patiently)
put up with newbies here and there.

A couple notes to those who repsonded to my questions:

According to the Dodge site, the incentive ends July 3rd. Unless I'm
going to claim to be a farmer (in the SF Bay area that's gonna be tough)
then it ends July 31.

My deposit is in for my ordered truck. Maybe I'll start calling to
see how far along it is in a week or two (anyone have any insight on
how long it takes them to get a vehicle started? I saw on the DML page
how to check the status of your order, but no point in calling unless
I'm gonna actually hear something). But I still haven't signed any
paperwork yet. Is it possible/practical to do the paperwork to get
the incentive even though the truck hasn't been delivered? It's sorta
dumb to start paying for something before you get it, but if it means
getting an extra $2k off the price I'd consider it.

I've seen the group buy prices around the list, etc and I'm wondering
if it's cheaper better to buy the equip. through the group buys then
take it somewhere to be installed, or if it's better to just buy it at
the place that's going to do the install (i.e. bedrug liner, exhaust).
Things like cd players are usually installed right there (most car audio
shops have installation on the grounds).

Then speaking of car audio, I ordered my Dak, sans sound system since
I can get something better installed after it comes in for at least
the same price if not cheaper then sold through the factory. Anyone
have any recommendations for cd/players/speakers? I've always had pretty
good luck with Sony's stuff so I'll probably stick with them but I
know nothing about speakers (and since the Dak has space for 8 of them
I think, I'll need 8x the help).

I thought about a CD changer, but saw that it tends to go under the jump
seat in the back (I'm getting the club cab). Has anyone had problems with
the placement there or know of a better one? If I have ot lift the seat
for storage I'd rather not have the changer exposed for fear of damage.

thanx in advance,

-Lazlo...
