Did the RT change in '00? I don't think I've seen an '00 stock RT at the track,
but now we're getting real specific. But that's the same reason you don't see
very many 4.7L RC 5spds, they're not that common so it's hard to prove numbers.
Traction shouldn't be a discriminator, we're talking the same truck here. (3.92
gears cost a wapping $40 as an option)

If I remember right we were comparing 5spd to auto. Not fair for sure, but
that's what we were talking. A 4.7L auto will likely be slower than the same
5.9. The 4.7 auto isn't much of a performance trans.

Have you been in a hotchkis truck? If handling is important to you and have the
money I'm sure you'd drop the RT suspension in a hurry.

Who brought up fords? I must have missed it. A guy who works a few cubes over
bought a '99 lightning this year, so far in 6 months he's needed 2 new
superchargers and a new engine. It's 2001 fast now, but it keeps breaking
hehe. And he said the dealer wanted 47K for an '01 Lightning, sh*t howdy that's
a lot.
