There's a tab on the actual housing that says "Front". If you grind it off,
it's just easier to reinstall with all the accessories still in place. Try
not to grind those small "tits" (sorry ladies) from the bottom of the
housing. They line it up on the manifold.

What are the 2 nubs on the "ears" referred to here? I didn't think we had
them on the 318's. I heard mention before of grinding off 2 little "tits",
is this the same thing. Do these nubs on the ears affect the sealing
between the t-stat housing, gasket, and block?
