NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..........................STOP!

Don't ever use dish soap! Its very harmful to the finish, it also strips off
all protectants from the finish. Go buy a bucket ($3), some car wash soap(I
use Blue Turtle, $3), and a lamb's wool or sheepskin wash mitt ($7). This is
the best way to preserve your finish, this special soap is also formulated
to get rid of road grime, sap, and bugs too. Dry with a soft cotton
terry-cloth towel (or chamois, but I personally hate them), try not to let
the water dry in the sun or it will sun spot. Since I have a black Dak, I
follow with Maguire's Quick Detailer spray ($5) and an old soft t-shirt.
Afterwards, you can wax (use pure carnauba wax, twice a year), I also
occasionally (every two weeks) use a spray wax like Maguire's Quik Wax. Use
store bought polishing cloths to wipe the wax off.
