Believe it or not, many trucks come over-torqued from the factory.
Last time mine were touched (not counting Monday) was when BJ's put the new
tires on in January. When I do my rotations I use the tire iron that comes
with the truck - if I'm getting over 100 ft-lbs on that thing I'd be
shocked.
Will have to get into Sears this weekend and pick up a big TQ wrench...I
have the beam-type but it's a pain and only goes to 75 ft-lbs. I'm sure
I'll need bigger anyway pretty soon.
