The cell phone can briefly power the stereo. On my Shelby.. when the
alternator was going out.. I drove for over 30 minutes using the battery
from by bag phone backfeeding the cars computer through the lighter circuit.
So basically having it work when the truck is off would just signify that
they are on the same circuit. no biggie; don't sweat it
