I'd blow it! I'm blowing my 98 5.2L, remove all traces should something bad
happen... Plus, I have to admit, I fully expect to eventually blow my
engine, not in the near future but I'm planning on it just as well. Want to
build a 360 to replace it.

Subject: DML: Supercharger on a 4.7 w/ 45RFE??

You guys seem to know a lot about dakotas, so I'll put another question to
ya that I've been pondering a bit lately. I know a couple of you have
supercharged 4.7L engines, but those all have 5 speeds if I'm not mistaken.

Several of you had voiced concerns about the integrity of the new 45RFE
tranny that comes with a 4.7L Do you think that the tranny would be able to
cope with the addt'l power provided with a supercharger or not?

So far I've just stuck with a cold air intake, Jet chip, cooler thermostat,
and performance exhaust. I really like the idea of a supercharger, but not
sure about the tranny.

Thanks guys,

Adam H
