"Ultra Copper" or "The Right Stuff" works well. Don't use a whole lot
but enough to form a thin seal around both mating surfaces. Torque it
down, wait about 10-15 minutes and then recheck the torque on every
bolt.

Subject: DML: belly pan gasket

Hi,

I should be installing my new Hughes' Stage 1 intake on wednesday
(assuming it shows up today like its supposed to) and I need advice on
the best way to install the belly pan. I already have the gasket
#05017208AA. It looks like it has silicone or some kind of rubber built
in to the gasket between the bolt holes.

Can anyone offer any advice on installing this thing so that it
won't leak? Should I use RTV only, RTV + gasket, gasket only, gasket
sealer, yamabond?

Thanks,

Doug Myers
