Well, this may be indeed my 2,000th question........but it is also a
question about a 2000 Dakota. The 3/4 ton Ram 4x4 wasnt worth it once I got
under the truck. Here is what I found:
-2000 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4(part time)
-4.7L V8, Auto
-Club Cab
-14,600 miles
-Power Windows/Locks
-A/C, Cruise, Tilt
-Manual Side Mirrors though, no biggie
-Infinity Sound System
-Reese Hitch/Towing Package
-9.25 rear diff, 3.55 open diffs, oh well
-HD Cooling/113 amp alternator
-Remote Keyless Entry
-Overhead Power/Convenience Console(temp/compass)
-Flame Red
-Mopar Bedliner(under the rail)
-31x10.50-15 tires(would clear 32" BFGs!)

I assume since this truck is the Club Cab with 31" tires, it must have to
Tire & Handling Package which adds the 31" tires, 15x8 rims, body colored
fender flares, and rear stabilizer bar. Would this truck have the NP231 or
the NP231HD tcase? ASsking price at a dealership is $19,900..a tad high if
you ask me. What should this truck sell for? I test drove it and was
impressed, NICE acceleration compared to my 93 V6 dak with 142,000 on it :)
If this truck doesnt work out, I have made up my mind and will just look for
a Dakota 4x4, since I wont need all the capabilities a Ram would offer. In
my area, finding used Dakota 4x4s with good mileage is extremely hard.
