Subject: DML: muffler question

hi

i have a flowmaster 40series 2.5" center in, offset out on my truck
now..
btw: it's a 3.9 v6 1999 dakota sport. here's the question..

if i were to split the exhaust into dual exhaust AFTER the muffler can i
stay with 2.5" pipes or do i have to go smaller so i don't loose that
much back pressure ?

any suguestions?

thanks
