Geez Geoffrey, glad you're okay, but I know what you mean. I almost got
wiped out in my Jetta today. Coming home down the 405 by Carson when the
Arco refinery went nuts and released a bunch of sulphur dioxide in the air.
People were watching the refinery instead of their cars and I almost ended
up being the victim several times through there.

Yup, as you can tell by the subject line, I have been
hit, again! Got rearended on my way downtown. I know
my truck is beautiful, but c'mon, if you want to ask
about it and see it, just tell me!! Thank God for
bumpers! I have been told to put a rollpan on bcs it
would look better. Personally, with all the chrome on
the front of my truck, and trying to add more to the
rear, I like it the way it is. It wasn't a major one.
He wasn't paying attention in traffic, and bumped into
me. BUT he hit my rear bumper, which in turn hit my
bed. Dented it in some and took paint off. I didn't
even realize this happened till I went to the body
shop today, but my bed camp up and smacked the back of
my cab and went back into place. Why do I have such
crappy luck!?!? It will cost his insurance company
@$1300 to get my truck fixed. Most of it is labor.
They have to take off my bed, R/T flare, bumper,
bumper pads, tonneau cover, and possibly the xcab on
my passenger side, AND repaint the pass side of the
bed, put my pinstriping back on(custom painted) my bed
and CC, repaint my CC, put my tonneau back on, replace
my flare, repaint my bumper pads(all four of them),
retape my tonneau, buff, etc etc. Man, all this and
I'm going out of town at the end of the month. I sure
the hell hope this gets done before then. Anywho,
sorry so long. HAd to vent and such. Oh BTW it
happened yesterday.
