Actually, ECC is not a type of RAM, you can have a module that is both EDO
and ECC.

EDO: Extended Data Out
ECC: Error Correcting/Correction Code

RAM with ECC is commonly used in servers as it can correct some of the data
corruption without having to fetch it again. It's more expensive and not
worth getting for a home user.
